This is a wonderful 2.5 hour walk skirting the beautiful & diverse 150 acre estate of Tyntesfield and the pretty Wraxall valley.
We start at Tyntesfield car park and head for Wraxall Piece, a peaceful woodland popular for its winding network of pretty paths. We stay with the country feel as we head into Ashton Hill Plantation, 148 acres of ancient woodland and giant Californian Redwoods. Then it’s off to the edge of Prior’s Wood, a quiet and beautiful nature reserve with various fungi and bird species to enjoy, before meandering our way to Bullocks Bottom valley.

This Nordic walk will be filled with the sounds of nature, maybe nowhere more varied than on our next section which takes us past Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. This route also takes in part of the Gordano Round, a figure-of-eight walk stretching from the coast path of the Severn Estuary past the Black Nore Lighthouse to Clevedon.

Finally we make our way back to Wraxall and for a cup of tea or some food at the Honey & Ginger farmshop.
