We’re so pleased you’re looking to improve your fitness, get motivated and learn how to Nordic walk. Before you can join any of our Nordic walks or courses you need to learn the Nordic walking technique at one of our fun Beginner Workshops. You will only need to attend one Beginner Workshop and each group has maximum group of 6 people. In your Workshop we will find the correct poles for your height, cover basic Nordic Walking technique and chat about future walking and what is right for you.
Each Workshop takes around 60-75 minutes (although you won’t be Nordic walking all this time) and costs £15. We always supply poles for free.
Please dress for the weather. Jeans are not advised. Waterproof flexible walking shoes are the best footwear but if you don’t have any that’s ok, just wear whatever you have as long as it has a good tread. Please do not wear any open-toed shoes. If the weather looks wet please bring waterproofs. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water are a good idea when it’s hot and wear a couple of thin layers you can easily remove if necessary. Please feel free to bring a backpack.
Most fitness levels are welcome but you must be able to walk unaided and swing your arms freely. The workshop isn’t weather dependant except we don’t walk in a storm and the class will be cancelled.
If you have any other questions please call Debra 07773359489 or email Debra: firstname.lastname@example.org
Meet Debra in front of the Royal Pavillion Cafe, Victoria Park BA1 2NR. Car parking charges apply.
We look forward to meeting you.
All cancellations will be automatically credited to your Bristol & Bath Nordic Walking account which you can then use towards another Beginner Workshop. Please note you will not receive any credit if you cancel within 24 hours of the start of your workshop. If you would prefer a refund to your credit/debit card please let us know. It will be subject to a 1.4% +20p fee for european cards and a 2.9% + 20p fee for non-european cards.
